I’m not worthy to judge someone’s salvation, but I can see the fruit being produced by this “Christian” president.
Once again I begin a post declaring that I do not hate or despise President Barack Obama, but strongly disagree with him on practically everything he is for. My belief since before the election has been that he is a say anything, do anything it takes liberal politician who wants to completely reorganize the way this country is run, how it deals with the world around us and how it will be seen in the future.
I am so disappointed in the way that President Obama declared himself a Christian throughout the campaign and used his charisma and personality to convince people that he is deeply Christian. While he was running for president, we had plenty of evidence to suggest otherwise, from his pro-death position on abortion, his relationship with terrorist William Ayers and his twenty year membership and attendance at Jeremiah Wright’s church. The “church” is nothing more than a hate factory manufacturing not disciples of Christ, but disciples of black supremacy and racism.
In his first 100 days as president, Obama has done a redo of his oath of office WITHOUT a Bible, which in times past was even OPEN (oh my goodness, how could this be?), demanded that all religious symbols of Christ be removed in advance of a speech he gave at Georgetown and now this latest happening: He will not be partaking in a National Day of Prayer service, nor having a White House time of prayer.
If you are a Christian, how can these things take place? Wouldn’t the Bible’s presence at the Inauguration have been a comfort? See, to Christians the Bible isn’t just another bound book, but actual instructions for life, providing billions of people worldwide with wisdom and knowledge. It’s not something you just don’t think about at such a huge moment.
What about the removal of the symbols for Christ at a recent speech? The White House line was that they the removal was merely aesthetic, so that when the cameras shot the Chosen one, the background would be completely devoid of any symbol, Christian or otherwise. Please. Someone who’s life has been radically changed by the accepting the free gift of salvation that Jesus provided couldn’t agree to that. A Christian should say, I don’t care what you think it looks like, the symbols stay.
And finally, Obama does away with any involvement with the National Day of Prayer, other than to sign a certificate honoring the day. You must be joking. Are we to believe that he’s just too busy saving America to take the time to attend a prayer service? Didn’t he and Biden just find time to sneak out for a burger recently? This is an intentional slap at Christianity, and is indefensible for a Christian leader. How could a true Christian not just blow this day off, but rather, intentionally choose to do other things instead? The short answer is that they can’t.
It is my sincere belief that President Obama is NOT a Christian. Look at the evidence above. How could a Christian make the decisions Obama has made? If he is a Christian, he is a very misguided one, probably messed up most effectively by his long exposure to Jeremiah Wright.
My true belief is that Obama understands our nation and what he needed to say to get elected. In the USA, 90% of people believe in God and over 80% classify themselves as Christian, so it wouldn’t have made sense to say he wasn’t a Christian. I believe his Christianity is a part of the facade he has put forth in order to advance his political fortunes.
He doesn’t have to be a Christian, and I don’t believe he is a muslim either. I think he is probably an agnostic or even a straight up atheist. No where in the Constitution does it say that the president must be a Christian. From many accounts, Abraham Lincoln was not a Christian until after he visited the battlefield at Gettysburg. Freedom of Religion is a part of the Bill of Rights for every American, and freedom of religion can also be freedom FROM religion if you so choose.
However, if you know you’re not a Christian, or that you reject the majority of Christian theology and doctrine, just have the guts to say so. State your case and stand by it. Don’t lie just to get what you want.
The good news is, he isn’t a king. We will be able to vote for another president again in three years, when hopefully there will be a strong candidate with integrity, character and the willingness to shoot straight with America, regardless of his or her religious feelings
.

“who wants to completely reorganize the way this country is run, how it deals with the world around us and how it will be seen in the future.”
- That’s a good thing! America has spent eight years messed up, and hated across the World. From torture, to funding right winged cells across the World. America couldn’t have been more isolated if it tried.
Who cares if he isn’t Christian, from a Country that claims to be utterly free, the fact that a candidate HAS to say he’s Christian to get anywhere near office, is appalling. And although you say he doesn’t have to be a Christian, it does come across like you’re suggesting that only a Christian would have the virtues you describe.
America is not hated around the world. We are loved and appreciated everywhere except the White House, Tehran, North Korea, China, Venezuela and Cuba. The only people who hate America are the ones who hate freedom and democracy. America is the reason the Holocaust was ended, the reason Saddam Hussein’s genocide was brought to a close. We’ve surely made mistakes, but we’ve done far more good than bad.
I do happen to believe that people are created by God and that He desires a relationship with us. I also believe our best life is accomplished in the context of having that relationship with God, but I am 100% American. He’s free to be what he wants. My point is that he shouldn’t act like he’s a Christian if he isn’t.
People who aren’t Christians can be very virtuous and have good character. I just happen to believe that every positive trait comes from God, whether we acknowledge His role in our life or not.
“…his twenty year membership and attendance at Jeremiah Wright’s church. The “church” is nothing more than a hate factory manufacturing not disciples of Christ, but disciples of black supremacy and racism.”
I can’t believe this just came from the mouth of white boy; a white boy from Arkansas no less. Don’t you know that only white folks can be racists? For you, a white boy, to call out Wright’s church and label them as a hot bed of brewing racism only makes you more of a racist. Why? You’re white. While what you said is TRUE, I cannot tolerate this hate speech!
Facetiously,
Eric
